I wouldn’t call that collection “modest”. Some excellent pieces there and that box looks great.

That's very neat and tidy; both the collection and the box; but now that you're here, I think you better start making box #2.
You're going to need it.
Is that a TAG Kirium upper row, centre?

You should be extremely proud of crafting that watch box- absolutely special and what a fantastic way to elevate your collection. No shortage of outstanding watches within the box!
Small collection of timepieces that I enjoy

Wow...very nice. Box and collection to be applauded. I'd be very tempted to add a light stain to that box, but that's just me. The TAG chrono is very unusual, not seen one before.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys....i called it modest because of the low number of watches compared to a lot on here that have much bigger collections...
I have tried to buy quality watches that i have always liked...
It is indeed a Tag Kirium F1....a present from my wife on my 40th birthday (my first quality watch)...its still working well but rarely worn because of its small size compared to modern watches.
There is a light wax protection on the wood...and i may give it another couple of coats, but i wanted to keep it light in colour..i do have plans for a bigger box..but my wife is not too happy because it means the extra spaces need filling..lol..

Lovely watch box, great effort to make that yourself. I was recently looking for a nice watch wooden watch box to buy but couldn't really find anything suitable, what a great idea to make your own.
Beautiful watches too. I've haven't taken the plunge on a Bremont yet but also have an SMP & PO. I did also used to own a Tag Kirium F1 which went to fund another purchase, although funnily enough I have recently been looking at them again. I just love the design.

As Bremont watches make up a third of your collection, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on a thread that has been doing the rounds on here for a number of days viewtopic.php?p=844411#p844411. You are obviously a fan, and I'd say you have good taste in timepieces.Lancslad wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 10:07 am Thanks for all the positive comments guys....i called it modest because of the low number of watches compared to a lot on here that have much bigger collections...

Re: SOTC Lancslad Feb 2021
May i clarify....i did not make the watch box myself...i had it made to my personal design via a friend....he has made a fantastic job of it...between us...my design and his skills we modified it here n there as it was built....
As far as Bremonts go...yes i do like them...the look large but dont wear as big as they appear..I love the quality of them...the service i have had dealing with Bremont has been outstanding....yes they are expensive but i have always negotiated a discount...are they better than other brands? I dont know...i bought them because i liked them and they suited what i was looking for at the time of purchase...its only my opinion of course....i have always followed the mantra...
You buy what you like....not what others like...at the end of the day its your money...you choose..
