As observed above, lovely tight and well considered collection. Speedy and Cartier both standouts for me
I also found my vintages got less and less wrist time, possibly as I moved to wearing a slightly larger size. In my case most were sold or gifted and i just retained a couple of special ones.

Never say never, but I think it would take something pretty special to make me want to buy another watch. That is today’s opinion of course.
I feel absolutely no urge to keep on collecting. 8)
Right, we'll see how long that attitude lasts!!..btw, have you seen the new GO divers w/ the large date?... 8)
Ebels are a lot like women that lack a lowcut dress that zips up the side..neither gets the love that they deserve..

Always nice to see a well thought out collection. Mind you, it’s always nice to see folk’s collections, period!

That to my mind, is the best collection of watches you have had. The newer additions unsurprisingly get the most wear as they are the best watches. I wonder where you will be in 12 months, as you are now quite unpredictable! :D

Great post Steve, love your collection and enjoyed the read. Do you see a consolidation (ruthless as you noted) within the vintage side of your watches?
Small collection of timepieces that I enjoy

I doubt it, Lance. They are nice to have around, and I’m not sensing such a general keenness to buy and trade older watches as we had a few years ago.

The Omega 286, Longines and Enicar are safe. The others could be negotiable.

Very nice! Lovely design, beautifully made, nice price...oh wait a minute!

Ahem! I think if I were splashing (sic) that kind of money on a watch (which I am not) it would not be a swimming watch. I don’t dislike them and I have a couple, but they are not THAT high on my list.
