SOTC: Craig T82 - Dec 2019

Post by CraigT82 »

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd post up my SOTC.
20191217_171936.jpg
L to R

1. Casio G-Shock DW5600. Spends a lot of time in the sea. Also wear it when I'm on site (construction) as it gets bashed about a lot.

2.Hugo Boss fashion watch. Rather handsome quartz gifted to me. The leather matches perfectly a pair of shoes I have so is kept in mainly for that reason ( plus it was a gift, of course!)

3. Hamilton Khaki King auto on grey leather. Newest member. Bought mostly for the lovely champagne dial and the 80 hour reserve

4. CW C65 Trident Classic mk 2. My daily wearer in the office. Bought to replace a C60 I stupidly lost. Kind of wish they kept the wavey dial from the mk1. For the record I really like the new logo and its position. You can now spot a CW from 100ft!

5. Seiko 'flightmaster'. Oldest here (2003 I think) Really battered and needs a new batt. Was daily wearer for about 10 years

Thanks for posting Craig and belated welcome to the forum. Always enjoy browsing other members collections.

BUT ... is this the first SOTC we've had without the almost obligatory dive watch?

You'll definitely have to rectify that in 2020! :D

Not only does Craig have no dive watch, he says he does actually spend quite a bit of time in the sea.....unlike the vast majority of us on here who spend no time in the sea yet own a range of dive watches capable of 200/300/600/1000m WR  I'm as guilty as anyone

Nice collection Craig, the Hamilton and CW my favourites

Haha yes no diver indeed! The G shock often gets bashed around on rocks and I wouldn't want to inflict that kind of treatment on anything over £50! Plus the G-shock has a nice long strap that goes over a 6mm wetsuit yet has enough adjustment to wear on the skin too.

To be honest I'm not overly keen on divers. I wouldn't mind a C65 trident vintage GMT though, or a nice blue Oris Aquis, but that's about it for me.

Next up for me is probably the seiko alpinist. I just love that green dial.

A good all-round collection.

First without a diver? No. I didn’t have a Diver until I had been a member for best part of a year. My initial aversion was well documented.
