Valuation

Post by robbo1982 »

Hey folks how do you guys go about valuing old watches ? As in have looked on eBay and WUS and the price range seems huge.

As such hard to know where to pitch the watch which is an old omega De ville

Are you talking selling or insuring?

Chrono24 and ebay sold listings are probably the best resources. Vintage, dressy and smallish size (I'm guessing) will be difficult to shift most likely so probably you'll need to research a reasonable price and wait until the right buyer comes along. You can always auction if you are in a hurry, the results can be surprisingly good at times though you run the risk of course.
