Ladies Omega Gold Watch

Post by Sc08ter »

A Lady's wrist watch with an oval champagne color dial with black hands. Dial signed 'Omega'. With faceted bezel and an integral byzantine link style, non-Omega bracelet with a fold-over snap fastening. Bracelet and watch case marked as 18ct gold. Jewelled lever movement in working order - Gross weight is 32.33 grammes.

Any experts out here who could tell me the likely age of this?

Thanks in advance.

In order to date this watch you will need to open it up and obtain the serial number from the movement.

You can then search for Omega watch serial numbers. There are numerous sites that will give you the serial numbers and year made for Omega.

If this was retailed in the UK (I don't know your location), it should be hallmarked. While not definitive as to date of manufacture, it is a good guide - you know it was made berfore****
If retailed in another country, well - follow the advice from Kip.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

Thank you both for the recommendations. Tracked it from the Omega db - year of manufacture was 1978.
