I must admit that I’ve always thought of the 7002 as the “poor cousin” of the Seiko diver range. I’ve owned about 8 or 10 7548s, several 6309s and many SKXs, but never a 7002. To me they’ve always been the in-between model, that (cheaper movement aside) has never really introduced anything new.

I also owned dozen of them, including all original one from first owner and one of the phillipino Loys extreme franken mods. Mine looked like like 2nd gen Monster.

Never fancied them. All mistakes from 6309 (click ball bezel) and cheapest possible movement. Only ones worth attention are last transitional series prior to SKX. And usually bought as work watches so very very worn.
