2013 FLE Progress Report # 13 Important!

Post by Kip »

Please read completely before throwing your toys out the pram.

Here are the realities....

This 2013 FLE cannot be built and sold to us for the originally quoted price.

Chris has done everything he can to make this watch come in as proposed, at the price he thought, but this just will not be possible. Due to escalating costs in general, plus the added costs to make the case back and dial in these limited quantities, it cannot be done.

So here is the new deal....

The 2013 FLE will go forward as proposed in design. As I write this there are 24 pieces still available.
The new price will be 525 GBP (437.50 non EC)

Everyone who has a reservation already placed, and anyone who places an order/reservation by April 15 will get a 10% discount making your price 473 GBP (394.16 non EC).

The new price also includes Free Standard Shipping. Our original quote did not include free shipping. So this keeps the total increase to a minimum if you have already placed, or place, a reservation by April 15. Effectively this amounts to about a 5% increase once the free freight is calculated in.

Starting April 16, the price will not be discounted and any unreserved units may be placed on the CWL website at the full price, as Chris is going ahead with the full 100 pc run.

We are still expecting a delivery time in May. Probably mid to end. It is also hoped that we will see some prototype photos in the next 10 days or so.

Chris expresses his sincere apology for being unable to fulfill the original quote, but does hope everyone understands that these costs are beyond his control. Chris is absorbing as much of the increases as he can.

What we have here is the same fine design for a slightly higher price than was planned on. The 2013 FLEC and CWL did their job as directed but we have all succumbed to market forces. It is my hope that everyone will go forward as planned and understand that this change in price will not make any difference to the quality of the 2013 FLE or its long term value.

Please see here for the reservations process and here for available serial numbers.

Well with the discount and free delivery that makes it about £16 more expensive. I can live with that. I am still in.

Kip,

Any sign of some real life pictures of the FLE - I guess a prototype should have been put together by now if delivery is in May.

Thanks for the info Kip.

I hope the Swiss gnomes are happy that they've reduced my family to eating sawdust for a week, it'll make a change from horse meat and I'm sure Mrs L and the little Ls will think it's all worth it once they see the watch on my wrist. (this is just my long-winded way of saying that **** happens, and in this case it's not even sh)

Looking forward to the pictures.
