2013 FLE Progress Report # 10

Post by Kip »

Sadly I must report a delay. :(

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the reservation process is on a temporary hold.

There are no issues other than due to priorities at CWL the efforts have needed to be elsewhere.

It is expected that the drawings will be ready and the reservation process will begin on Wednesday December 5th.

This is not a guarantee, but is expected.

The extra time will insure that all our ducks are in a row and the process will go smoothly for all concerned.

Thanks for your patience.

Breath deep and keep watching!!
Kip

If CW needs to make other priorities then that is more than fair enough. They have been extremley gracious with all the FLEs and to wait a while longer is no biggey. Just hope the other priorities are nothing bad. Thanks for the update Kip

Thanks Kip, at least we have a tentative date to work with. I have been checking the forum for updates every few hours. I can relax a bit now :-)

Thanks Kip. Sounds like good news if they are swamped with orders. Apparently it's Christmas soon [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Good news all round. Presumably this particular glitch won't affect the overall delivery schedule either as they already know how many are being made!
Cheers,
Andrew

Not bothered anymore as the only serial number that interested me is already allocated to a FLEC member, so it's not worth it as that was the tipping point for buying one.

How can a serial number have been allocated when they are not yet taking reservations?

He/she wanted #1. Of course, that one always gets taken by either mods or FLEC member. :silent:

Not #1, but it is a number that gets taken each time by a FLEC member and as they get first go then it's not one that will come onto the open market. Shame but that's the way it goes.

Well if you say what number it is perhaps the person that has it may swap it for you. There is no harm in asking.

Reservation of a number is the only perk that you get for working on the committee.

Some people do like a moan. When I was on the FLEC in the past I offered to swap my number with someone who wanted it, but in the case of this pathetic whining from I.I.D I wouldn't have bothered.
If you don't like the watch enough to buy it unless you get a particular number then you don't like it enough to buy it.
