Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
Had to go with C. While I do like A it's a bit too much of the same, a limited edition watch should be distinct IMO. Also I think C would be a cracking hand wind watch.
Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
Could we have a blue Cabouchon in the crown of A or is it too late for anything like that?

Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
Well, we are the customers so I don't see why not but it may be a bit tricky to get a majority vote. A flat crystal might get through on a democratic mandate though!cholmes wrote:Could we have a blue Cabouchon in the crown of A or is it too late for anything like that?

Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
I agree that C should be the FLE, but i would be happier wearing A.
I voted A.
Would be even happier with it on a bracelet.

Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
Not really as the cases need to be finished from production so bead blasting is just replaced by the cost of polishing/brushing a small limited run and hence does not really save any money on production.I.I.D wrote:
I would have thought not bead blasting should have saved money, not cost more?
Also don't forget the case back unique engraving and production as well

Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
That was the maximum price limit voted on by the forum for the basic watch on a leather strap. Bracelet versions will cost more if offered. A standard C10 comes in at £375, so it only gave them £75 leeway to re-face it[/quote]
And alter the case finish!

The case is brushed, not bead blasted and the bezel is polished.

Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
In fact, the only 'standard' CWL components on the FLE contenders are the case shape and strap. Case finish, dial treatment, indicies, rehaut, hands and case back are all non-standard. Given we are proposing a limited run, it is a small wonder that all three contenders were bought in on budget.paw3001 wrote:Not really as the cases need to be finished from production so bead blasting is just replaced by the cost of polishing/brushing a small limited run and hence does not really save any money on production.I.I.D wrote:

Now if the wider forum had voted for a greater budget, who knows what we could have achieved!

Ooh. Now I do like the sound of that. I suspect it may have to be an aftermarket option though. I think my daughter has a couple of stick-on faux crystals somewhere. Should I post one to you?cholmes wrote:Could we have a blue Cabouchon in the crown of A or is it too late for anything like that?

Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
I now look at A a little differently. Comparing it to other dress or sports watches, I am starting to dig the design, and the cross-hair which reminds me of a spy's watch for some reason. People mention the great Nomos with A but I am liking this face better than those right now. Looking at it in the vein of an Explorer or Aqua Terra now, I can understand now it being a sports/dress watch. I kind of would like numbers on there but with the black markers contrasting with the blue, it may look really sweet. Better start saving some $$$ in-case...
I agree with many here that C looks more like an FLE and I believe it would look better in real production but A is still it for me.

Re: 2013 FLE Final Vote
Assuming that all 95 "A" voters(at the time of this writing) will purchase "A" watch, this one will be a sell out. I just hope, at least to the people who posted or voted here, get priority in getting on the list. Where is the preorder icon button? Need to click on it ASAP.
Bracelet will make this a standout watch for sure. I definately can see the EXP II and Aqua Terra vein on this watch. Classy, Casual, Dressy, Sporty----all wrapped up in one. My first CW watch and it will be an LE.

It doesn't quite work that way.
Kip will advise us when ordering is available and then it will be a question of 'first come, first served'.
