I am really sad Red is going bye bye. I hope it lives in Watch Heaven forever.

Re: 2013 FLE – Design Elimination Poll
Looking at watch A, is there any chance that the date window could be at the bottom (as per watch B) - the face would then be balanced - i.e. the 3 and 9 would be cut by crosshairs.

It would make it more symmetrical but the date window combined with the 'automatic' text would leave hardly any crosshair in the 6 o'clock direction. It wouldn't be my preference.PaulWB wrote:Looking at watch A, is there any chance that the date window could be at the bottom (as per watch B) - the face would then be balanced - i.e. the 3 and 9 would be cut by crosshairs.

Re: 2013 FLE – Design Elimination Poll
I noticed on dial "A" lume shot, there is a perfect square that seems to be of a different coating as the rest of the dial. Does anyone know if this will find itself in the final dial? This looks really nice!

That one has already been asked earlier in the thread.jmarchitect wrote:The square glow in the lume shot is as a result of a wee glitch in the rendering software and not a (weird) design feature!

Just to confirm, the one to eliminate at this stage would be A.Nealgar wrote:Personally My choice as follows
1. B
2. C
3. A
Well done guys

Thanks
Neal
The question is do you take the blue pill or the red pill?
Re: 2013 FLE – Design Elimination Poll
I think indeed that everybody who wants to end up with 'B" or 'C' better vote out 'A' at the moment and not 'C' or 'B'Nealgar wrote:Just to confirm, the one to eliminate at this stage would be A.Nealgar wrote:Personally My choice as follows

I'm going to change my vote.
You could think of it as voting between a real FLE ('B' or 'C') or just a nice other watch ('A') this round. IMHU

Plus 1 but it can't be done I think.PaulWB wrote:Looking at watch A, is there any chance that the date window could be at the bottom (as per watch B) - the face would then be balanced - i.e. the 3 and 9 would be cut by crosshairs.
I like A the best, slightly reminds me of a ball watch, would love the gas tubes but again it can't be done. Looks like a classic if it wins. Love the cross hairs.
Watch C reminds me of the CW sector watch.................................... Marmite

Re: 2013 FLE – Design Elimination Poll
Yep, I'm with you there. Some disagree but I need a watch to tell me the time and the date, so will never buy anything that can't do these. So, the C9, JH and C900 are out.alphajet wrote:No date.lloyd_m wrote:Why don't you just go for the C9 Harrison? There's lots of blue on that.alphajet wrote:

Watch B has the date windows at 6, so I assume it is an option from Sellita.hantsman wrote:Plus 1 but it can't be done I think.PaulWB wrote:Looking at watch A, is there any chance that the date window could be at the bottom (as per watch B) - the face would then be balanced - i.e. the 3 and 9 would be cut by crosshairs.

Re: 2013 FLE – Design Elimination Poll
Paul, these are the final designs. There is no more scope to amend them (unless, for example, there is a major issue discovered in the manufacturing process).PaulWB wrote:Watch B has the date windows at 6, so I assume it is an option from Sellita.

Glad to see I agree with most - lume on the 'C' option is fantastic. However, I think the styling of 'A' is best.
