I like them both, the c5 is a lovely watch, and the c10 looks transformed in the pics above. I know its a long way from the finished article but its quite exciting!

I think a few people think that we have the face of the watch already decided. :(

Chin up chap! The polls represent only a part of the process and nothing is decided yet. Why don't you start thinking about what you would like?

Nothing is decided as yet with regards to the dial design, only the 4 parameters that have been polled on so far dictate the direction we shall move.

Everything shown at the moment is just an idea. Plus even if that was a final design we do not know if it it even viable within budget.

So don't worry yet and get your ideas and thoughts out there :D

I knew what you meant.
It's sometimes difficult to tell if comments are directed at individuals or more widely so let's make it bloody obvious...
Kip wrote:... our goal....which is..

To consult the forum membership in order to determine the parameters for the 2013 FLE, to refine designs within those limits, consulting with and obtaining input from the members and CWL, submitting the design(s) to the members for final approval and submission to CWL for pricing, professional design drawing and production.

Come on folks get your ideas and thoughts out there.

And if i can add,if anyone does have an idea then please try not to let it get lost in a long thread. You can always PM Kip or any one of the committee with the idea as well.
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....

If I may quote myself...
Aesculapius wrote: Now, I'm really not trying to pre-empt the rest of this FLE process here and I'm sure this is NOT how the 2013 FLE will look; I'm merely attempting to illustrate that it *is* possible to produce something with a distinctly "Sports" look using the C10 case...
I'm well aware that these designs have a hint of AT about them; I was actually thinking of the baton indices on the C15 when I started. That is not relevant though — I wasn't trying to present a finished design; this is a quick study sketch just to show that it would be possible to create a Sports-style from these cases.

The point is not to fix on this one design but rather to grasp what might be possible. If this stimulates debate and further creative thinking, even iff that that ultimately takes us off in another direction entirely, that's all well and good!

On the subject of the need for polished cases and exhibition backs, keep in mind that the C5 case is already available polished and with an exhibition back. No added costs incurred there.

( No I won't give up on my C5 case crusade.)
