But... if this sports watch is to be used as, well, a sports watch isn't a brushed - or even a buffed - surface the more practical option?

I think we have to look at our definition of "sports" - is it a look or is it a purpose?

Please note that the first poll and the expalnation state a sport "style" not a sport "watch".

I saw that right enough, just wondering if "sport" as a style defines the form or if the function does.

In a practical sense, polished or brushed surfaces are often easier to repair (fixing small scratches etc). The bead blasted surface cannot be restored by your average Joe using a cape cod cloth/scratch repair pen.

If this ends up looking anything like an aqua terra or explorer then I am going to buy them all. Especially if it has a silver dial.

No it won't. Those were just examples. We do not want a homage. If you want one of those watches then you should just go out and buy one.

Can the FLEC consider something along these lines? If so I would be one happy man

That's pretty funky! I really like the minimalism of the Steinhart. :D

On the other hand, I guess we don't necessarily want an exact copy of that specific watch either.

The trick is to take ALL these different sources of inspiration, distill down exactly what are the key elements that we think need to be included in this FLE and then re-synthesise a wholly new and unique design with a CW stamp on it.

Also really like it, would be something very different from the CWL line up at the moment and defiantly get people's attention!

I would also love something like this, WOW!

I also have another question, how would I go about betting a design together, is there anywhere a template for the C10 is available to set about bludgeoning my own design suggestion onto it?

Macca- I just downloaded a picture of the C10 online and used photoshop to modify it. I tried to use hands and a crown that already exists. I sent these two to Kip earlier today.
