FLE - Questions
Hey
I know we have the FLE section (not sure if i can make a thread in there??) but I had a few questions about how some of the different processes work.
Firstly and most importantly how is payment done? Do we have to make a deposit once the watch has been designed and then pay the remaining value in full when its finished? Or do we have to put the full amount down straight away?? Payment scheme?
Secondly, with the previous runs having been limited to 100 what happens if we have more then 100 people wanting one?? Will it be first 100 drawn out of a hat? First 100 to "reserve" theirs?
Thirdly, does the watch come with any special paperwork to certify it as a FLE?
And finally, does the FLE still qualify for the 5 year warranty that we see with all other CWL watches?
Thanks guys,
Rookie

Re: FLE - Questions
All good points, I should imagine there will be some answers shortly, all I know is all the watches are covered by the 5 year guarantee at the moment, FLE should be no different.

All my answers are based on what has happened in the past....
CW have not required any deposits. You just pay for the watch when it is ready to be shipped, just like any other CW watch.
Reservations have been done on a first come, first served basis. Snooze = Lose.
The paperwork (and model number) refers to it as a Forum LE.
And, yes the warranty works as normal.
When you think about it, this is a terrific service offered by CW for this forum.

FLE - Questions
I'm assuming the announcement of pre-orders being "open" gets made on the forum (I know the clue is in the name "FLE"), but is there a specific thread/area/etc?
Re: FLE - Questions
Yes I think in the past it has appeared in the section for this years given FLE.. in this case the 2013 section on the board index is where you should find all things FLE eventually.

You will get plenty of warning to keep watching for an announcement when the time comes.

Re: FLE - Questions
With all the new members on the forum, would the number of watches avaliable be increased if required?

Re: FLE - Questions
I think the number of watches produced should be based roughly on the number voting in the polls. Currently about 100.Helix Von Smelix wrote:With all the new members on the forum, would the number of watches avaliable be increased if required?

Re: FLE - Questions
Unfortunately the number of voters and commentators doesn't always translate into buyers.... the 2011 FLE being a prime example.Mr Rick wrote:I think the number of watches produced should be based roughly on the number voting in the polls. If we get 3-4 % voting, I will be very impressed.Jammy Devil wrote:It's early days yet !
