Re: This is what you say
I'll order a blue one. Number is not important for I wanted n°74 and it'll be a red one.

A real marathon - great effort, Kip!
Do you have any idea of the likely timeline for orders? (I'm abroad for a while and don't want to miss out...guess I'll have to visit the odd internet cafe!)

Re: This is what you say
You guys are really lucky if Chris does decide to go ahead and run two different designs for one forum LE (its looking good at the moment), if it was my company i'd tell you all to bugger off if you think i was going to develop and make two different dials and bezel inserts for a mere 50 watches of each type - Chris is a top bloke for doing so and Kip deserves equal thanks for his efforts.
Peeps have got to be very happy with how this turned out - also makes for another CWL forum LE with an interesting story/history behind it - i wonder which will be worth more in years to come?

I miss all the great things that may never be.
Re: This is what you say
But surely that's the whole point, you can get a significantly different looking watch (red jag) with the most minimal alterations possible. Structurally the watch is already designed & no components are changing, the dials remain the same texture & composition etc, so a colour variation for 2 existing components is all you are looking at for a watch that can now be viewed without having to check if the word Rolex appears on the dial. Admittedly that doesn't quite apply to the blue one which to me still looks like an homage but I'm sure the blue camp are happy with theirs too.Dancematt wrote:You guys are really lucky if Chris does decide to go ahead and run two different designs for one forum LE (its looking good at the moment), if it was my company i'd tell you all to bugger off if you think i was going to develop and make two different dials and bezel inserts for a mere 50 watches of each type - Chris is a top bloke for doing so and Kip deserves equal thanks for his efforts.

Missed most of this debate as on holiday. I didn't vote on the option, but plan on buying at least one if not both, Red probably slight favourite for me
However, great result I think. CW must take the best care of customers of any watch company. Well done to them and to the wonder that is Kip.
