Re: We have a winner...but....
Since the vote was so close, I think it is pragmatic to have some of each - although probably a few more than 50 of each.
No disrespect to Scooter or Jag, but I would not buy one with either name engraved on it.

Hi
A very generous offer. Thanks Chris!
1. I would not buy blue but i would buy red.
2. I do not care about numbering.
3. If there is to be a 'design identifier' engraved on it, I would like some neutral name for the designs to be used such as 'Forum LE - Blue 2011' and 'Forum LE -Red 2011' or some such.
I would like to be clear that the designers are happy to share the limelight though!

Re: We have a winner...but....
If you're going to do both i would say have a published start and end time for pre-orders. Produce the amount of watches for each colour ordered and number them accordingly ie if 43 red are ordered x/43,and the same for blue.
Don't put the names on there-with the greatest of respect to Jag & scooter-that's just tacky. Leave it as 2012 LE,or,as a compromise,put 2012 FLE(s) or 2012 FLE(J).

I agree with this. Members seem to have polarised strongly between the competing colours and if it is viable to produce around 50 of each then most will be satisfied to produce a winning outcome.

Re: We have a winner...but....
This is the first FLE I have been involved in and I thought the process was very quick and easy. On the basis of the upset caused by the 2011 FLE with the love or hate feelings, I think producing both will actually make this FLE even more limited and perhaps more valuable to the people who buy the colour they prefer most. It is certainly the most democratic way forward on the basis that there were 54 votes for the "blue one" and 52 votes for the "red one" so a 100 production (50 of each) would be ideal for all I suspect, allowing for people who have a change of heart or may not be finanically able to buy when the time comes.
The red watch is not to my taste I'm afraid (no disrespect intended ), but looking at the responses it obviously floats some people's boat here - I'm firmly in the blue buying camp.
Let's have some forum harmony and build both I say!
Well done to Chris Ward and Kip for throwing us a curve ball as always

Re: We have a winner...but....
I like the idea of building both, well done CW for the suggestion.
Hopefully 50 of each will be enough, I wouldn't like anybody to miss out who has wanted one or other of the final two all the way through.

Ideal number of watches in your collection = current number of watches + 1...
Re: We have a winner...but....
I agree with what most have said: it's a good idea to have 50 of each. And I also approve of a LE number, though no names.

+1 on that. I would only buy the blue. I could not imagine buying the red. Perhaps they should be calleddowner wrote: No disrespect to Scooter or Jag, but I would not buy one with either name engraved on it.
Forum LE 2012 Red and Forum LE 2012 Blue.
Like to keep them at 1 to 50 each to make them more special.

Re: We have a winner...but....
What a great idea- build 50 of each, with each colour run being numbered as x of 50 and both camps get a more exclusive LE.
Does that mean that the designer whose design is chosen for main stream production will get one of each?
I am sure neither scooter nor jag are the least bit interested in their tags being put on the watches, being the decent, unassuming chaps they are.

Re: We have a winner...but....
Very generous offer Chris.
But unfortunately won't be buying either.
The Trident isn't really appealing to me, specially since my favorite design bunked out.
Well, better luck next time. In the mean time I'm considering the C700.

I won't buy a Scooter or a Jag but would buy a blue LE Trident.
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

Re: We have a winner...but....
I'm looking forward to purchasing the blue FLE. I think it's a great idea to accomodate everyone who had a preference for the red version.
I agree with everyone above who were happy to see the serial number on the watch, but not the designer's name.

Re: We have a winner...but....
As long as the two main protagonists (Scooter and Jag) are happy and Chris is willing, I don't see why not. Personally I'll only be going for one (blue) and although I would have liked to reserve a specific limited edition number, at the end of the day it is only a number.
