I enjoyed it no end! It kind of added a little bit of extra drama to the proceedings. A valiant effort by both and pretty good entertainment. :)

Does anyone know how long it will be before orders are taken?

FWIW saw one on amazon.co.uk - link click here.
Not saying anything about it except it meets the specification of red diver (nice is a bit of a subjective term)...

Well, we have had the white smoke, so a new FLE is duly elected

However, no word from the Forum Team about the result yet which seems a bit odd?

Kip (and most of his time zone) is still asleep.

Checked & he has been on this afternoon after the voting ended which is why it seemed strange, unless some interesting consultations are taking place...........

P.S. thanks to st-rider for the red diver info, its nice but the red JAG still looks better for having the stainless bezel & nicer dial design. The hunt continues unless CWL decide to take the plunge with todays runner up as a mainstream model.

No secret Team consultations...no sleeping...just life and work in the way. :)

We obviously have a winner! A very close vote, but a winner nonetheless.

The winner will be submitted to Fraser at CWL for the final spec drawings. This may take a week or so. In the meantime, we will get procedures set up with Chris and Wera for accepting reservations etc.

All details and procedures will be posted as soon as available.

All the non-winners will also be submitted to Chris for consideration in the 2012 line up. I repeat there are no guarantees, but all entries will be considered.

Congratulations to the winner and Thanks to all that submitted entries and participated. Also another special mention to Downer and jmarchitect for contributing their time to put these photoshops together.

Hear hear! Well done guys.

If the red doesn't make it I guess we can always give it a nudge when the 2013FLE campaign starts  Probably a bit early for that one at the moment

Blimey that was close!! Now a limited edition of 100?? I wonder how many will be sold given only 54 people voted for it. Will any of the Red Jag supporters buy this one? I won't be, as I have said before it is a very nice watch designed by a Westcountryman, but it is too normal for a SE for me.

Well done for everybody involved it was good fun!!

Thanks to Kip for organising this, it must have taken up a lot of your precious time.

Commiserations to the runner-up which according to my wife put up a good last 12 hour fight. I was not on site after casting my own vote at 18:30 on Monday until after the votes had been cast.

Many thanks again to downer and JM for kindly photoshopping so many of the entrants.

A huge thank you goes to all those conservative members who solidly backed my entry from the opening minutes and remained stoically behind me.

I am pleased for the Forum Members who appreciated the colour scheme and will hopefully be able to buy the watch should they at the relevant time be financially able to do so.

I am delighted to have won the competition and look forward to purchasing the watch which I will treasure forever.

I am grateful to Chris for suggesting that the Forum Members be allowed the chance to democratically vote for the Trident colour scheme that they would most like to purchase. I hope that he does not suffer financially from this extremely kind gesture.

Thank you but that's not my style.

I have however learnt much from the posts that I have read.
