Re: 2012 Forum LE (#1?) Final round
It would be interesting to see who would buy. The last FLE had comments made that as only 75 sold it was a failiure and wasn't what the masses wanted (yes I am paraphrasing). With only 89 votes cast and some only going to buy one design if it wins and not bother if another does surely this is a low edition watch as well and obviously not up to a fle. I will only buy one design as I don't like the trident that much to get it just because it is a limited edition.

Re: 2012 Forum LE (#1?) Final round
I,d like to be honest here, I think all 3 are worthy winners of a CW place. ( as would a WHITE Trident )
The RED is the FLE for me, because its the 1 thats probably not going to sell more than the required 100 limited editions.
The BLUE i think would sell a huge amount in the Trident range.
The BLUE/ORANGE also i think would be a very good seller next to the black/orange GMT giving the option for something similar but not a GMT.
I also dont like the canvassing BUT.......
My Vote is RED , One thing is for certain, the RED takes it away from a Rolex homage.....
I am partial to a bit of CLARET

Have to say I agree, the Red un is the only one i'd part cash with!androo wrote:Have to agree with Dave on thisCornishDave wrote: I would buy the Wilko or Red Jag, but not the Scooter I am afraid - sorry Scooter. It is a very nice watch but not unusual enough for a limited edition for me. But hey we are all different!!

Re: 2012 Forum LE (#1?) Final round
The red is nicest. But I wouldnt buy either, even to a watch geek they would not jump out as being anything special compared to many other CW watches. For me Forum LE watches have to go the extra mile, they have to be either quirky or extravagant or showcase the best CW can do. So a divers watch with a different coloured face doesn't get me excited. There are lots of divers wathces out there with a multitude of colour schemes. I really doubt that in 2 years many of us will remember what the 2012 colour scheme was.
A C90 with a coloured face would...the design stands out to non CW fans, but for those in the know it is special.
Dont mean to disrespect the obvious effort and dedication gone into organising this vote.

Re: 2012 Forum LE (#1?) Final round
Agreed, but as far as I can see the reason behind doing a C60 FLE was the fact that the 2011 FLE was out of reach financially for some people, so surely a C90 based version would be even more expensive which defeats the object of the exercise? Or am I wrong?chb wrote:The red is nicest. But I wouldnt buy either, even to a watch geek they would not jump out as being anything special compared to many other CW watches. As the scooter watch seems destined for FLE glory, I really hope Chris sees the light & decides to also produce the JAG watch as an interesting offshoot of the mainstream models. It is about as far away from the existing C60 Tridents as you can get, which is why it has grown on me to the point where the original bits that don't do it for me are outweighed by the changes that make it IMHO a better looking watch than any of the current mainstream Tridents.

And the final round ends in a tie! Does CW decide on the tiebreaker?

Unbelievable, can't get much closer than that. Maybe CE could produce 50 of both!

Commiserations to Wilko and congratulations to JAG.
I'm up for a toss of a coin.
Failing that could we have a silent vote to be respected by all?
