Somebody had the idea of adding a (would i buy) to the voting system, I now think this really would have been a good idea. just for future reference or for adding to the range.
perhaps we could still do it on the 46 original ideas, it might be usefull to CW.

Personally I view the LE as something that should stand out from the norm, so using that simple criteria the Scooter and Wilko are far too similar to the stock Tridents for me.

Only one stands out from the norm as an LE and thats the JAG RED #40 for me.
I said somthing very simular to in the first round, RED JAG for me as there is no other in there line up. IT would be a one off, the other blues are nice dont get me wrong, but how many Blue faced watches are out there in the world of watches....loads sorry. How ,many good quality reds....not many I've seen.
Red is, far as I know is a diffecult colour to repeat but if cwl get it right IT WILL stand out well as a LE

You can guess my vote of the 3 in the final going to be.

It would be interesting to do this!
I don't know if it can be tied to the votes but would be interesting if the winner was, say for example 90 votes but only 5 I'd buy marks this against it.

Sort of begs the question again, what is the vote for - A forum limited edition?, a watch you'd buy? or a forum limited edition you'd buy? or just a vote for a watch design you like?

Surely, it's a vote for a forum limited edition you'd buy..

Why would someone want to influence the outcome (by voting), unless they wanted to buy the winning watch?

Congrats to all the finalists. I'm not sure that I'll buy any of these, but I'll offer my opinion anyway.
I like the Scooter, but blue-on-blue just doesn't feel 'special' enough to me. CWL would do well to add this to the line-up (and send Scooter the first one gratis).
The Wilko is interesting, but as much as I wanted orange, I'm not sold on orange and blue.
The Jag has the right 'look' for an LE. The aluminum bezel stands out and looks different. The red dial is somewhat unique to the range. Unfortunately I recently aquired the C4 CF18, so I don't think my next CW will be red. I'll probably hold out for an orange Tri (or break down and buy the orange GMT).

Good luck to the finalists. All the designers deserve a pat on the back for submitting entries to this little competition.
2017 CW Forum "Darwin Award" winner.

Hey JM... I hope you didn't see my comment in any way directed at you (or anyone else). It was not intended in that way. :)

Not at all dear chap! My last post was a bit short (and possibly came across as terse) as I got interrupted by a telephone call. I suspect if those of us who have no intention of making a purchase don't vote, it will give a reasonably accurate prediction of the numbers who will actually make a purchase. 8)

Which is why I didn't vote.
I would've voted if there would've been an option for a green/white bezel and green/white dial. That is the one I would have bought.

Having said that, the one that would have my preference of the three finalists is definitely the Scooter.

Should there be a subsidiary question that attempts to gauge interest in buying?

Until CWL has an idea of how many he can shift, this might be an exercise in hypotheticals. No point voting for a watch design that only 18 (for example) people want to buy.

One thing that has not been discussed is how many will be built.

I suppose that many along the way would presume 100 would be the max. I am thinking that after the final selection has been made we should put up a poll to see how many will actually buy the final choice to assist us picking a number.
