2012 Forum LE (#1?) Semi Final round

Post by Kip »

We have reduced the candidates from 46 to 10 semi-finalists.

They are reviewable below.

Many thanks to "downer" who has put together and tweaked these renderings so you may get an idea of what these would look like on the standard strap and the new bracelet (courtesy of a jmarchitect drawing) as well as added some descriptions.

You are voting for the top 3 that you wish to see in the final round.

The top 3 (and ties) will be submitted (maybe) to CWL for some tweaking and then submitted for a final vote.

You will have a several days between the close of this round and the final vote as Fraser is on vacation and will be unable to turn this around as quickly as first thought.

An alternative is to debate the merits of the final 3 for a couple days and then vote using renderings that we have or wait for Fraser. I have set up a separate thread for your opinions here.

You have 3 votes and may vote for as many as you want up to 3. 1 vote per number.

The voting will automatically lock down 72 hours after posting.

Please select your favorites by number and cast your votes accordingly.

The #3 downer bezel is black..the description is incorrect.

Thanks for catching that. I will correct as soon as possible. I have added a disclaimer for now.

Welcome. The watch will be available with a choice of black leather, rubber or steel bracelet.

Hi, Thanks!

I liked The Downer too, great job (its orange on The Wilko that swayed it for me)

Do you think the colour of the stitching on the leather strap could/ will be coded to the design? (Assuming Wilko approves)

Suggestion: Maybe Orange?

It does look like a pretty good race so far....

Anyone finding the choices a bit tougher to make in this round?

I really like the Wilko, but I am also plenty happy with the Royston. Same with the two red-dialed versions. I feel like I'm voting for Nader instead of Gore, and causing the election to go to G. W. Bush. Boo.

Not so much a tough choice (I have only voted for the piece that I would actually buy) but it is tougher watching the voting this time around! Oh well. 8)
