Opinions for final round vote
As we progress through the final round voting I think I would like to offer an option before the final round vote takes place.
The original intent was to submit the final 3 candidates to CWL for final renderings before the vote. This was expected to take about 1 week for a turnaround....potentially as early as July 8 so the final round could start on or about July 9. This would have left us from 6-10 days to debate/discuss/lobby for the final candidates.
As it turns out Fraser will be on vacation and not back to work until July 11. This will delay the original time frame and plan by at least 1 week.
I am fully prepared to move forward as originally planned, including the delay, and await Frasers return. This will not put our overall timeframe/deadline in any jeopardy.
If I can sense a consensus of those that reply, we can move right into the final round if you find that the renderings that we are using so far to be acceptable and sufficient. I would still leave at least 2-3 days for debate/lobbying for the candidates before the final vote.
This is in no way a reflection on downers or jmarchitects work to date as, in my opinion, both have done a spectacular job.
Tell me what you think.

Keep it moving Kip!
The renderings are just fine for a vote.

Re: Opinions for final round vote
There will be small differences between 'real life' and anyone's renderings and what has been done so far is clear.
Let's go with what we have and move ahead.

I would also say just move forward.
Only thing I would add is that can the actual colour choices be confirmed once again.
This is after some of the confusion in voting in round 1 over lookalikes and lumes.
I for one am not sure if the bezel markings on #38 downer#3 were grey to match the dial or if they're white and the rendering makes them duller? (yes, I could look into it and re-read the threads, I'm just going off the image and how it appears on my monitor).

Re: Opinions for final round vote
I don’t see any problem on using the excellent work done by downer and jmarchitect unless the final 3 end up being very similar e.g. all variations of blue then it might be useful to get CW renders to give an even playing field
Using what we have already also allows more time for the vote which is a good thing as its getting closer to holiday time and many people cant visit the forum when at work or travelling so more time would hopefully allow more people to see / vote for their favourite

Re: Opinions for final round vote
Crack on and get it done before the main summer holiday season
Although I would recommend (again) putting a worded description alongside each watch to remove any uncertainty on the colour scheme.

Re: Opinions for final round vote
Sorry if I missed this but what is the resolution if there are ties for the top 3?, e.g. 100, 98, 98, 97 votes (or other variations).

Re: Opinions for final round vote
Renderings only include the standard straps/bracelets because that is how they shall be sold. WeJAG wrote:I would have liked to have seen mine on a red stitched C40 leather as i explained but plain black leather will do !
cannot change our choice for these.
