#tide strap comfort
#tide strap comfort
At first I wasn’t sure if I would find the #tide strap comfortable. It felt stiff and was just on the edge being the right length for my wrist. But, IMHO the C60 #tide would not have be complete without the strap, it’s part of the story.
Having worn the watch the strap has nicely shaped itself around my wrist, making it a surprisingly comfortable wear. Not only that, it’s eye catching too. It’s very rare if ever that anyone notices what watch I’m wearing let alone mention anything, but this combination had people asking me questions not only about the watch but the strap too.
Well done CW.

^^ ^^
I like it very much, it really compliments the watch dial. Is there any kind of taper from lugs to buckle? I bet it's really set off by the blue plastic # in the caseback and crown.

Does melancholy count as two of your five daily servings?
Re: #tide strap comfort
There’s no taper but a good 3mm thick. The colour combination is perfect, lovely design.

Re: #tide strap comfort
I’m alternating between the #tide and the hybrid on my Sealander for the next couple of weeks. The #tide quickly became very comfortable.

Re: #tide strap comfort
I’m glad to hear the tide is so comfortable. I’ve got one of these coming as a birthday gift to wear with my C65 AMGT LE.

Re: #tide strap comfort
Hi Richard
I didn’t realise they were that thick. Was 3mm a guesstimate, as if they are 3mm, or more, I think I will order a couple?

It’s a guess but I’m confident.

Re: #tide strap comfort
^^^ Thanks Guy.
So that’s a 20mm for a Submariner and a 22mm for a Pelagos then!
Just need to remove the QR bars and fit the correct spring bars for the watches when they arrive.

Re: #tide strap comfort
I have a few questions for #tide strap owners if you have a moment:
How long are the two pieces of the strap?
WRT the material- if it’s made of plastic do you think it would be possible to shorten the strap then melt the end like you would a NATO?
Also - do you think it would be possible to put an extra hole in it neatly ie without fraying?
Thanks for any thoughts.

watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

A couple of pictures…
Edit. I think someone with the right skills (i.e not me!) could cut and seal the end of these straps - like a NATO.

Re: #tide strap comfort
^^^^ as Guy said, with the right tools and skills. Add that the strap doesn’t taper makes for an easy job to shorten.
