C1 Moonglow on rubber

Post by ajax87 »

I’ve seen people say that they see the C1 Moonglow more as a sports watch than a dress watch. I certainly don’t wear it in a dress setting. I wear it often in shorts and t-shirt. I’ve only really seen pics of it on leather and Milanese mesh, which make it look more dressy.

Mine usually lives on the CW black cordovan leather, but I threw it on a black Barton elite silicone today. The rubber “sports” it up a bit more I think. I actually like how it looks and feels, better than leather, at least in a casual setting.

I think I’ll leave it this way for a while :D

Let me know what you think.

That’s a good look, Alex. And it is much too nice a watch only to wear with a whistle and flute.

Yep, I agree, it looks great ‘worn down’. This is a great look

Right ethos Alex, to consider it a Sports watch, much as I have with my Powerglow on a #tide strap.

That’s a perfect match! I think a #tide strap with white stripe would look great with the MoonGlow.

Thanks, guys! That’s a great suggestion that I hadn’t considered. I’ll have to get the white striped #tide strap for it at some point. I don’t have authorization for a $75 strap purchase from the boss at the moment, since I just dropped something like $100 on straps last month :o

I need one of these! Please make some more CW

Looks great on that strap Guy. I must admit I’d be tempted to throw it either on a rubber strap or one of Watchgeckos sailcloths.

Right?! It’s truly stunning. How did this not get past the prototype phase? Or what’s in the pipeline that this was passed over for?!

Thought I’d redirect you here :D

Ever since I started this thread I pretty much only wear this dressed down. Thought I’d add a couple pics too.

Alex, where did you get the white rubber strap from?

That might look good on both my Moonglow and my white C60 300.

Some great strap combos there

...and, to reply to the original question, I put a strap on a watch that suits it, irrespective of the type/genre of watch or the type of strap whether it be rubber, leather, and so on.

Not really sure about the rubber but nato will work hands down.

I’ve put it on a Steel bracelet and it looks sporty
