I’m looking for something matte and dark green...

Post by missF »

As above, I’m looking for a dark green leather strap (20mm) for my new trident vintage. Martu have one but that will take several months to get here. I’ve looked at Toshi, Mansarea, cheapestnato, steveo, watchbandcenter, so I’m just wondering if there’s anywhere else I should look?

I’m looking for something matte rather than shiny. Even something like nubuk or suede might fit the bill. I guess I’ll know it when I see it!

Thanks for your thoughts.

I have a spare one that might fit the bill.

I’ll dig it out and send you a pic.

If it suits, you can have it.

Might be ok in the short term.

Keep thinking of options for missF

Mine didn’t quite fit the bill, so her search goes on

You could try ukwatchstrap.co.uk. they have a great selection of straps and are reasonable. Seem to have a lot of green options.

Cordovan might look good, although the above don't have green or blue in cordovan, but their Rios and Fluco prices seem to be the cheapest around, and I assume they are competitive on all straps.

CW cordovan are worth the extra cost for the QR lugs, and omega/Bader closure, but again only black and blue. Sorry I keep banging on about cordovan but in my opinion they are just amazing.

There are a few green cordovan on eBay but not particularly cheap.

Watchgecko lets you filter on color. They have some interesting suede options in green. There are quite a few matte options. Looks like they are running a sale right now too.

Well - Guy came up trumps, with the very strap I had in mind when I specified what it was I was looking for! When the trident vintage first came out it was offered on a green oak strap, and Guy found one in his vast strap store! It arrived today and is perfect for the watch in my opinion.

Thanks Guy!

That’s the exact strap I envisioned when I read your post. Glad to see things worked out perfectly with forum members coming through for each other.
