Rubber strap - fuzz magnet

Post by missF »

Is this a thing?
I have a rubber strap on my sandstorm, and it looks like it has dandruff.... :-&
Do rubber straps just attract fluff and flakes in your experience?? Or is it just this one (which does have a ridged textured strip down the centre)
Is silicone any easier on the eye??
There's only so many times I can wash this strap in a day!!!

I won't post any pics.........

Silicone rubber straps collect fluff and dust.

Natural rubber and variants e.g. EPDM rubber, do not.

The Barton Elite silicone straps suffer from fluff attraction to a much lesser degree in my experience. They are great straps for the price too, very comfortable, look good and are quick release.

Thanks - I've got one of these, and indeed never noticed it to be a fluff magnet.
