C65 Mk.1 Bracelet.

Post by hadon2525 »

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone could be kind enough to tell me if the Mk.1 Trident bracelet, (circa 2016/17), has the micro-adjustment feature as found on the later models? (i.e. when you can lengthen the bracelet slightly on a hot day).

Also, am I right in assuming it doesn't have the incredibly handy quick-release pins?

Many thanks.

2nd question first;-

No; you think correctly, it will not have Quick Release pins. These were introduced with the bracelet for the C60 Trident Mk3 in May 2019, and then integrated over into other bracelets i.e. for the C65 variants.

1st question;-

You might get lucky with the ratchet micro adjustment depending on when the bracelet was actually made.

PS> I think you might be in luck with the ratchet micro-adjustment on the bracelet in that, knowing that the C60 Trident Pro 600 was released in January 2015 and, in the fun facts of the CWArchive I have found this comment "On September 2, 2016, a C60 Trident Pro (C60-SKB) Serial #1 was sold on Ebay for $1064.00. The watch was sold with an updated PCL OEM bracelet.", this information points to the upgraded bracelet (with ratchet micro-adjustment) being introduced sometime during 2015.

Perhaps there is an owner or two of a C60 Trident Pro 600 who is able to confirm?

OP has mentioned C65 Mk I bracelet which I can't help with but as far as the C60 bracelets are concerned...

I have a C60 Trident Pro 600 (Red Jag) with a Mk I bracelet and a C60 Trident Pro 600 Vintage with a Mk II bracelet.
The bracelets are interchangeable.
The Mk I bracelet has pin clasp adjustment and a divers extension.
The Mk II bracelet has the micro-adjustment.

To help identify them...
Mk I bracelet on the right;
Mk II bracelet on the left.

I have a C65 MK1 bracelet with no quick release spring bars but it does have the integrated micro adjust. The only other differences are that the center links are thicker and the push buttons are small and round.

I bought this one in a CW sale around September 2019. Not sure if it was a transitional model or not.

Hello,

My C65 bracelet has arrived and I can confirm:

1) it does NOT have the ratchet adjustable feature, (great shame, this),
2) It does NOT have quick-release pins, (I knew this already, but was hoping),
3) it does NOT have screw pins for the links.

In other words, it's just a bog standard bracelet which was an absolute pain to fit!

But, fit it did and it looks lovely.

Thank you for your replies.

I don't think any bracelets have screw pins do they? I thought they were all pin and collar

The C9s of yesteryear had screws but they were a pain to work with anyway. I think all current CW bracelets use collar & pin now.
