It’s like Christmas!

Post by jkbarnes »

Two packages arrived today! One contained a new strap from Barton, the other two deployant clasps from Nigel (StrapMeister).

The Barton
I picked up a Silicone Elite for my Seiko Ana-Digi watch. It’s a bit of a tight fit in terms of the lug depth, but otherwise is a perfect edition.

Barton sent two different lengths! Nice!

From Nigel (StrapMeister)
Nigel sent along two deployants for me with the hope that one would fit on the Horweem leather racing strap from Barton that I picked up for my C65 AM GT LE. One of the two was a perfect fit! I was hoping the second deployant would wind up being a bonus I could use with the new tropic strap I picked up, but it wasn’t to be. With the strap sized for my wrist, the deployant doesn’t open up enough for me to slide my wrist through! I’ve never experienced that before.

I’m really tempted to cut that keeper off.

The watch fits best on my wrist with the strap reversed.

Reversed on the watch positions the deployant pretty well on my wrist.

Thank you to everyone who recommended the Barton Silicone Elite. And thank you to StrapMeister who reached out about having some deployant clasps I might be interested in.

As am I. If you ever encouter a problem (tears, poor finishing, etc.), just email them with pictures and your order number. They usually just send you a new strap straight away.
Best regards,
John

Good to know, thanks! I’ll save the invoice, just in case.
