watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Delighted you got it all sorted Lindsey.
Enjoy that lovely watch now.

Re: Adjusting a screw in bracelet
I'm not sure why screws are regarded as preferable to friction pins. I've had screws loosen and fall out of 3 separate bracelets, fortunately with no consequences, but have never had an issue with a friction pin.

Re: Adjusting a screw in bracelet
I just watched Jenni Elle's last video of 2020, which was a Q&A and question number 1 ending up being about loc-tited screws, and pins and collars - bracelet difficulties in general.

Re: Adjusting a screw in bracelet
This is why. Because screws can loosen and disappear if not properly installed. A thread locker, such as a Loctite 242 or 243 is sufficient for long term holding power of the screws yet is usually easily removed. Any bracelet adjustment should be accompanied by reuse of Loctite on the reused screws upon reassembly.
"Friction pins" are not as durable long term on a watch bracelet. The collar tends to open up over prolonged use. The pin and collar setup tends to collect more dirt and "body cheese" than a screwed bracelet. Of course these issues are usually more of an issue with those that tend to wear only one watch. We multiple watch owners tend to rotate wear and clean our watches regularly.
