So it turns out I had the V1 strap... I didn’t realise the version change was so recent
It’s been sold and I’ve splashed out on a V2: I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s lightweight, good looking and very comfortable. Well done Christopher Ward.
How can you tell the version differences? I purchased my C60 Elite in March with a rubber strap. Looking at the product codes now on the CW website, they are the same as what I ordered back then. Or are you referring to the Tropic Rubber strap as the V2 version?

Many thanks, Philip
The V_2 is noticeably thinner and therefore more flexible and supple.

I can't see any difference between the design of the two straps, other than the thickness. The patterning of the strap seems identical.
version 1 is about 3mm thick.
version 2 is about 2mm thick
However, the strap thickness affects the way strap is formed around the spring bars. The thinner red v2 strap has a curved appearance, but the blue v1 is just straight.

It's the HYBRID rubber straps that have had V1 and V2.
The TROPIC rubber strap is a totally different strap and has had just the present version.

This does produce a noticeable difference as the strap is formed around the spring bars. The thinner red v2 strap has a curved appearance, but the blue v1 is just straight.

Very helpful for the Hybrid strap comparison! Thank you for posting
The blue v1 looks like it is shedding. Is that a problem for v1 hybrid straps?

I think it's a few threads being very slightly frayed around the QR pin, from repeated strap changes. Maybe my thumb nail is snagging a thread or two. i bought the watch last April. Here's a closeup of the pin end of the straps, from both sides. Its about as sharp as I can get it.
I have just received the black and red hybrid for my 2 VEV . Very good looking and a great match but do find it a touch stiff straightout of the box. Hopefully once its been on for a while it will soften up.
