Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
Re: Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
Ah I’m away this weekend so my one probably got delivered as well, hoping it fits the speedy out of the box. Can’t wait to try the flat link on, have high hopes that it will be really close to my speedy 1957 flat link.
Re: Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
Got mine, really like the flat link bracelet, so comfortable and tapers brilliantly around my wrist, only criticism is that maybe it's a tad thin, but that does make it super comfortable.

Re: Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
Guys, thanks for the heads up and for the Uncle Seiko link (no pun intended).
Currently my Speedmaster Mk II, IV and IV.5 are all off bracelet and on leather - there is an element of "caring for the old oe bracelet" syndrome and maybe I should look more closely at Uncle Seiko so that my oe bracelets can take a well-earned retirement.

What’s the word on the quality of Uncle Seiko bracelets? I’m interested in his jubilee for my Seiko Sea Urchin but only if the quality significantly better than the OEM bracelet.

I’ve only bought the Uncle Seiko Omega bracelets, which are designed to be like the original vintage bracelets: light, but not as rattly as the originals. I can’t vouch for the quality of the Seiko replacement bracelets, as I don’t own any, but I understand they’re built to be better than the Seiko originals, rather than the like for like philosophy behind the Omega ones.

Re: Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
I had a rum old time fitting the flat link bracelet, but following a tip from @Maraeburn, I swapped the supplied spring bars with those from my Speedy Pro and found success. Whether they made a genuine difference or I was slightly more practised I don’t know, but swapping them back over will be a job for another day.
I’m pleased with the retro vibe it adds to the Broad Arrow, but can’t comment on comfort until it’s sized for my wrist rather than my forearm!

Great news - well done Rich! Looks awesome on the broad arrow. In terms of comfort they beat the stock bracelet hands down!

I recognise that rather splendid Broad Arrow!biggus_richus wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 2:27 pm I had a rum old time fitting the flat link bracelet, but following a tip from @Maraeburn, I swapped the supplied spring bars with those from my Speedy Pro and found success. Re: Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
I'm very pleased with my Uncle Seiko bracelet as well, model 1171 fitted on a Speedmaster hesalite.
He's working on a new bracelet, supposed to be out at the end of the month: https://omegaforums.net/threads/new-unc ... nt.124954/.
With solid end links and the embossed logo on the clasp, it seems very nice. Let's hope the price will not follow the recent Speedmaster increase...

Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
I have a quite specialised Uncle Seiko bracelet currently fitted to my Tissot Navigator. It’s for a 2 register Omega Seamaster with an almost identical case - the spring bar holes seem to be 0.5-1.0mm lower than the Omega case, but it’s otherwise a great fit. Took a chance and it worked out pretty well...
I’ve also fitted a 19mm FOIS Uncle Seiko bracelet to my newly arrived Aqua Terra (as the titanium bracelet is dreadfully expensive). The very un-titanium like appearance of the Omega’s titanium case means that the bracelet matches the case very well, with almost no discernible colour difference. Pics at a later time...

Re: Speedmaster bracelets - Uncle Seiko
fwiw, Uncle Seiko has a UK/EU site now. I enquired about speedy bracelets, but was told they were only going to be available on the US site, and no plans to have them on the European site.
