FLE 2011 proto photos

Post by Kip »

This is what many have been waiting for!

The first photos of the prototype.

Note that the back sample was produced before the decision to go with only 75. The actual models will state 01/75.

These are quick photos by Chris to get them out to us, but I like what I see!

First of all.... Tell Chris to go and look up "Depth of Field" on the internet.

Secondly, it looks fantastic!!

Thirdly, is there a touch of something white/silver in the centre - where the two hands intersect?

Fourthly, it looks fantastic!!

:) :) :)

You'll need to come up with some decent lenses -- and decent lighting equipment -- to get serious DOF on macro shots like these. We'd all rather that Chris spends his time and nerdery designing and making watches, don't we?

Having said all that, this is a nice watch!

That's pretty cool!

Maybe Wera could treat Chris to a Studio in a Box for his birthday, they sell a reflector box with lights in Maplins for under £50 :)

Looking good for a prototype, glad to hear that the centre of the hands will be black on the production models. :D

Chris has some amazing photographic skills, not everyone could make those "Geneva stripes" disappear.

Looking good. Taking into account chaos theory, as one does, I foresee a gradual upswell of positive energy, generated by continual viewing of the prototype pics, which will culminate in an event that will be felt all around the globe, sometime during September when the real pieces start landing. 8)

Great stuff, thanks Kip and thanks Chris for the pics. It looks fantastic! Makes the wait that bit more bearable and at the same time more unbearable!
