Bring on October is all I can say. Quite like the big subdial, but regardless it is a stunning watch.

Re: FLE 2011 proto photos
I feel I should apologies for opening up a bag of worms by posting the Photoshop pic alongside the prototype. I only did it to show that they were pretty much there. We all know that the Photoshop images that are used on the web site are no match for seeing real pictures (which is why we like to see them) and we all have seen models in the past were details were out compared to the picture.
Personally I am not fussed about the missing markers and would rather have a bigger subdial. Look at Panerai. Most of their models only have markers every 5 minutes and it does not stop them selling for thousands of pounds.
I would be more concerned about the colour as it is supposed to be a red 12 and not an orangy red 12.

+1. That is the only issue I have with the proto shots, the red just looks a little too orange for me.ianblyth wrote: I would be more concerned about the colour as it is supposed to be a red 12 and not an orangy red 12.

Hello, Ian...
I agree with you - subdial size is nicer bigger (even at the cost of minute markers) but I hope the red isn't too orange!

Re: FLE 2011 proto photos
I had a bit of a eureka moment driving home in the car tonight.
I realised where I'd seen that black dial, white letters with a splash of red before.
It was right there in front of me
Nice to see where the committee went for their inspiration*
ttfn, Alex
* bonus points if you know the car make and model

And there was me thinking we had taken our inspiration from some original pocket watch conversions and military type watches...
Tsssk. Months of painstaking research, and the outcome is compared to a car speedo!

Re: FLE 2011 proto photos
MorganNick,
On Saturday there were only five of these watches still available to reserve. I see from other threasds on The Forum that at least two of those watches have been reserved. So there may be three still available. It is a limited edition of only 75 pieces. Reserved C9FLE's will be sent out in October when payment will be taken for them.
