Re: Status Update for 2011
Forget new job for looking on here or money for a refresh key... I'm going to need a new job to pay for the watch!
By the time this is announced so many price rises will have been enacted that the C60 Trident Sector* will come in at well over a grand!
*Kip has asked me to assure members that as no official announcement has yet been made, it is possible that the Forum LE 2011 might not be a Trident.

I was so hoping it would be a Teal C60.

I was so hoping it wasn't a C60 Trident at all, but can't see many alternatives & as it was the last model properly considered it would be a brave jump to another model that hadn't been discussed.ianblyth wrote:I was so hoping it would be a Teal C60.
Looking at the range it seems that;
C2/20 already done
C3 - quartz so non-starter for the purists. same for C4, 7, 70
C40 could be customised using special colours but would be pricey for some.
C5 would be nice as it's the iconic CWL & really should have a FLE version at some point.
C6/60 Kingfisher already done
C8 would be an option to modify which would differentiate it from everyone else's identikit aviator.
C9 /90may be too top end for some pockets.
Of course they could just tell us & stop all this idle speculation........

No - idle speculations is what keep all forums running.
I agree about the C5 though. I would like to see a C5 with the blue dial from the C6/C600 and Tritium. A funky version of the C5 to match the Ball watch range.

This is getting like when you no longer believe in santa but your parents think you still do and you have seen what they have got you for christmas but it was something you wanted a year ago and now you have moved on and want something different. So you have to pretend to look happy but deep down you are just waiting for next year to come along.
I now want a limited C90.

Re: Status Update for 2011
I'm sort of secretly hoping that it's still a Trident since I don't have one in my collection yet. I'm not super excited about the Trident to begin with though, which is the odd thing. Maybe I'm hoping that there will be something about the FLE version that will push it over the edge for me. Maybe a different dial color or something.Tyke wrote:I was so hoping it wasn't a C60 Trident at all, but can't see many alternatives & as it was the last model properly considered it would be a brave jump to another model that hadn't been discussed.ianblyth wrote:I was so hoping it would be a Teal C60.

Maybe we'll get an FLE version of that C700 that is also supposed to be coming out soon? That would also be fine by me. I agree that a C5 FLE needs to happen sometime. I'm just hoping that it's next year since I just got my C5 not too long ago.
I'm sure that a C8 FLE would be like mana from heaven for a lot of folks here, and while I'd love to see one, I'd probably never buy it.

A leak of some sort would have been really cool at this point. People getting frustrated?
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Re: Status Update for 2011
Maybe we will see a C8 chrono? Or perhaps an early C700 or even a C30? If any of these came up I think I would have some difficulty resisting...............

Re: Status Update for 2011
As it is a pre order you won't need to pay for it til october as far as i am aware. So will give you a while to save and means you won't be buying a 3rd within a fortnightandys wrote:Lovely looking watch, can I really order my 3rd in the space of a fortnight?!
