Three* Watches for the Forum Team under the sky,
Seven for the Committee in their halls of stone,
Ninety for Forum members doomed to die,
One for the "Chris Ward" on his dark throne
In the Land of Maidenhead where the Shadows lie.
One Watch to rule them all, One Watch to find them,
One Watch to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Maidenhead where the Shadows lie.

* all numbers approximate.

Hi All

Apologies for the dumb question but I take it CW makes a limited edition watch for CW Forum members to buy each year then? If so is there a photo of last year's watch?

Mark
Watches: Christopher Ward C7 Rapide MKII | Christopher Ward C70 Grand Epreuve | Rolex Submariner 16610 | Rolex GMT-Master II 116710LN | Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.50 | Steinhart GMT-Ocean 1 Blue Red

The Forum Limited Editions are (FLE), or have been designed by the members or a Forum Commission (FLEC).

Info here...

2007/2008 FLE

2009 FLE

We did not have one in 2010...but it wasn't for lack of trying! :(

Cheers Kip! Some lovely FLEs there! I particulary like the 2009 model, rather striking :D

I hope we see a 2011 FLE!

Seriously....

The Forum LE Committee has essentially completed its mission. The final(?) version has been submitted to CWL for acceptance and spec approval.

Once all facts and figures, as well as final drawings have been completed, an annoucment will be made. It is our sincere hope that we will be able to make an announcement within a couple of weeks (no guarantees). It is currently out of our hands.

Rest assured there will be no leaks from any committe members prior to the announcement. All have had special treatments and have been heavily medicated. If that doesn't work they will be thrown in the moat!

So what if the full announcement is late? can we have an official leak then?? what say you? dial colour mayhaps?
or a really obscured mock up pic like a teaser trailer for a movie maybe! :)

Alot's riding on this model i feel......no pressure though.
You are quite correct...a lot is riding on this....as soon as the committee members have their families safely relocated an announcement will be forthcoming. Until then...nothing! The committees family member safety comes first.....not that anyone is concerned about their safety.
Lets hope all committee member have now been placed under the CWCWPP (Christopher Ward Committee Witness Protection Program) because your "couple of weeks" is almost up Kip and the CAALCWAAD (Coalition Against All Late Christopher Ward Announcements And Deliveries) is gathering en mass for an outcome, theres still time for a peaceful resolution, act now to save lives! ;)
I miss all the great things that may never be.

We had really hoped to have the announcement posted this week......there have been some complications relocating all the commission members and arranging anonymous IP addresses.

That plus the final puzzle piece is delaying things more than we hoped. We shall again be optimistic and hope for the end of this coming week.

As there is more delays in making an anouncement how about letting people at least know the base model for the LE so they can decide if they need to save for it or if I can send my Trident back while its still within its 60:60 and get the C60 Trident Teal, I mean unknown LE one instead.

How on earth did I miss this thread?

Got tired of waiting, I guess.

Anyway, I can't wait! This will probably be my only purchase of the year! (moving house). :(

Each of us will face this question at least once in a year.

"Why do you have so many watches? You can only wear one at a time!"

Well...i personally think that some sort of information is only fair.
The base model is a watch.
It has hands and the useful feature of a strap.
The movement inside is carefully engineered to make the hands go round.
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....
