FYI Forum LE

Post by Kip »

The team thought everyone should know what is happening regarding the current LE.

Since we have had a difficult time coming up with what would seem to be suitable options...The team has decided to sidestep our current objectives and move to an alternate plan.

We have put together a committee of forum members, including the Forum team, and will try again. We have chosen a variety of members who have various personalities and opinions. The committe discussions will not be public but when the time is right we will let you know what is happening.

It is our hope that through the minds of our most astute and veteran members we shall get a variety of ideas and produce a most sought after piece when all is completed.

We are currently organizing parameters and ideas so that we may really get this project moving again.

Wish us luck!
Kip

Seems like a good decision as we were going nowhere fast. Good luck with your endeavors. You won't be able to please everyone, just make it special. :D

+1 to that.

I think that as long as it's nice enough, then it doesn't need to tick every box for every person (nothing could do that) but if people accept it as simply a more exclusive addition to the usual CWL range then it will still sell.

Good luck to the committee!

Good move. Design by committee (at least in my experience) leads to cost and time overruns and a failure to come to a decision, let alone the right one. Far better to get a small group together and just sort it out.

I'm looking forward to the announcement.

Will be very seriously considering this LE as my first CW watch.

Then more meds will no doubt come.

I'm wondering why we've struggled to get an LE sorted this year, despite managing it ok previously?

I was only really involved with the mock-ups for the 2009 LE, not sure how the previous LE got off the ground?

I think there needs to be a bit of 'directing' with regards to the base watch, so if a smaller number of forum members can do that, then great.

I look forward to seeing what is proposed for what surely now must be called the 2011 Forum LE. :)
