Agree - it needs an inner ring of some sort - either GMT or something like the Mk I Aviator?.

It is actually supposed to be the River Thames.

And may have ended up with a watch that looks a bit dull (imho).
It does look dull. To be that simple you need classic dress style dial and hands.

I do like the Thames motif but not linked to the date circle for obvious reasons.

I thought the 2010 LE was dead and buried. Are we still anticipating a new watch this year?

The 2010 LE is dead and buried but work as started on a new one but it is still at the early stages so unlikely to be ready for this year. In fact at the pace it is going it might not make 2011.

Afraid that's beyond my extremely limited Photoshop capabilities.

Would be nice to see though..

Perhaps someone else can do it?

People call me a freak too for collecting so many watches. Don't try to be different by adding the word "control"....I know better.

I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but what about a completely new type of design? One that is unlike any CW on the market - more pointing to the direction of Ikepod or Urwerk. I designed a 'dream' watch several years ago with rotating discs that provided a digital style readout (discs replaced the hands), and I think the Ikepod case is pretty attractive although I must admit whilst amazing to behold as an engineering concept, Urwerk watches are pretty, well, footballer-ish.
The development cost of a simplified design may be well above the reach of CW, but I would love to see what they come up with.
Please shoot me down quick if you think I'm getting carried away.
Just out of interest..... Would it be possible to replace the hands of a normal 2824 movement with ultra-thin discs for hours, minutes and seconds, or would the mechanism lack the extra torque required?

Do you mean like this? :Image

Zodiac did this in 1969.

I think any 'way out' design would make the Forum LE a little too rich for most Forum members, after all, we're not all Paneristi :D

Although something like an Urwerk or anything else that might entail a lot of R&D costs may not be practical for CWL to create as an LE, you can still submit a completely new design. Please supply details of movement and at least a drawing if not a doctored photo of some sort to either Hans, Yoda or me.

By the way, Chris is always open to see new ideas and suggestions of any type. If you have something that may not be suitable as an LE it still might be something that CWL would be interested in sometime. Email those ideas directly to Chris.
