For me the Black Sand appears to be the larger, the size being accentuated by the white bezel, whilst the Deep Blue with bezel and dial the same colour seems to shrink it.

One of the main reasons I bought the Deep Blue was I figured the white inner bezel on the Black Sand SC would make the watch seem too small but like you feel Guy, after having the two together I figure the opposite.

Great photos, Ferg

Perfect example of how different dials of same watch can effectively give you completely different experiences. Almost like having 2 separate watches.

Your comments about each one sums them up exactly and I agree both look best on their respective bracelet/strap.

Well Done!

Two excellent versions of this C65 with the black colour way clinching it for me.

Very nice to have the option of wearing either.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you all liked the thread as I thought it would be an interesting topic and look at the same basic watch but how they can be so so different.

I agree about the bracelet... I took mine off the bracelet quite quickly and wear it on either black tropic, brown canvas, a brown/orange nato I had lying around or a mesh bracelet picked up in the sale. Bizarrely, I haven’t yet tried it on my camel leather, so will definitely give it a go, thanks

I agree, it’s more of a fun watch than dressy and it’s going on holiday with me (assuming we can go) :D

Wow! Great pics. That looks surprisingly good on the mesh bracelet 👍

The comparison between the 2 colourways, with and without the self coloured bezel is quite striking.
On first impressions I think I prefer the contrasting white bezel.

The SC is growing on me as I see more and more examples. I do like the way the movement is presented, which reminds of the way Omega present their movements. The SC technology is just of academic interest really, as I wouldn't take it into water anyway.

I am not so sure. I would have no issue with the camel strap combination.

When I look at the two colors side by side, the white bezel makes the black sand version look smaller to me, although this thread has that blue-dress-vs-gold-dress vibe.

Beautiful pics I was thinking of one of these for a while know and was undecided between the deep blue and the ocean blue, leaning towards the deep blue on a bracelet stunning....

I just discovered this thread today. I found it very helpful as I have been considering the purchase of a Super Compressor. I had been thinking the dark blue would look best on a blue tropic strap. Your pictures & comments have convinced me that the dark blue is made for a bracelet. Actually, I loved seeing that watch on the beads of rice steel bracelet. I am wondering which manufacturer is the best option for that style of bracelet? Lastly, I agree that the dark blue looks larger than the black sand. Pretty sure the same color bezel helps create that illusion.
