Christopher Ward C60 Elite 1000 Watch Review

Post by eggtronics »

The Christopher Ward C60 Elite 1000 is a release that builds upon the successes of the C60 Trident Elite 1000, a limited edition model whose 300 pieces sold out in record time. The difference in name is minimal (the latest version has the exclusion of the Trident for some reason), so it’ll be easy to get confused. The Elite 1000 promises to deliver an even more luxurious timepiece than the regular Trident, thanks to the titanium construction, redesigned bezel insert, COSC movement, and day/date indicator. The Trident 600 is in my opinion, one of the best watches you can buy under £1000. So is the Elite 1000 worth the extra £700? Let’s take a look.

Thanks for the review Eggtronics, I enjoyed it and found it informative. One question... do you have any more images of the blue version? I think I saw it appear briefly in the review. I’m keen to see more real world images of the blue version. Thanks

For me, this is the shot of the review. The differences in appearance are striking - the titanium Elite with its matt bezel looks so much better than the super reflective standard C60.

For me I'd like to see a different hand set, hour markers, plus the loss of the departed founder's name from the dial.

There’s a marked difference between the size of those two - I assume the regular C60 is 40mm?

The blue was the original limited edition when the Mk3 Trident range was launched. Sadly all sold out! But you can read all about that model here: https://www.watchitallabout.com/christo ... lite-1000/

Yes the Elite is only available in 42mm. The Trident 609 is my personal watch, which is 40mm

Thanks Kip! I really do love it. But, I love my Trident 600 more. The 40mm size is so perfect for me, and the sheer value for money the Trident 600 offers means I don’t feel like I “need” the Elite.
