This is a six year old thread and the OP has not visited the CW forum since May. I think you're in for a long wait.

He is indeed the Barnes Wallace of the watch collecting world!
This sort of thing should be encouraged for it shows that laboratories and teams of designers are not always required in invention or engineering - George Daniels after all made his masterpieces on 150 year old Victorian machines in a small workshop.

Wow, this is one heck of a project, seems rather fun!

Another year gone by. Is there any hope of a conclusion to this amazing mod?

This is fascinating to find, now years after the post. What an engineering journey. I wonder where things stand now with the o/p and the watch project?

Sproughton’s comment above reminded me of this amazing thread. I thought it was worth resurrecting to share with newer members of the forum. Go have a look from the beginning. As I said, it’s amazing!sproughton wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 3:43 pmMust be easy to photograph a watch like that. The visibility is insane. Need to try an oil filled watch myself one day.
EDITED TO ADD: Haha, I just noticed it had been resurrected in January of this year!!

I wish it could be Easter every day. That would be wizard.

Thanks to whoever brought this thread up from the graveyard
As OP is not longer reachable... Wouldn't a supercompressor work for the problem with the expansion of the fluid? I'm too stupid for the physics part but if the working temperature of the oil is - 20 to +60 it would have its maximum expansion at 60 degrees. If you fill a supercompressor with 60 degree warm oil any decrease in the temperature would be similar to a dive?
Anyone with a PhD in physics here?

I think one might have an issue trying this with a Super Compressor.
From the OP's 1st post...

...this concept only works with quartz, as the balance wheel of a mechanical watch cannot oscillate properly in a viscous fluid.

What a fascinating read. It didn't make me want one, but it did make me think about things differently, which I appreciate. Thank you for sharing this.
Re: Liquid filled watch case: How I modified my Kingfisher C6
IMO a brilliant idea. Better readability and colors make the watch look completely different. It's a pity that so few manufacturers use it.
Re: Liquid filled watch case: How I modified my Kingfisher C6
genuinely impressive what can be achieved when knowledge of different areas are brought together! whod have thought that experience in capacitor production would come in handy here!
