Is that yours? What's your initial impression?

That photo does not do it any favours...may have to hold off placing my order - wait until some more reviews/photos are around. I too was of the understanding it had a matt finish - it doesn't look very matt to me!Thermexman wrote:I thought that the bumph on the website described it as matt?golfjunky wrote:The dial is it more gloss than i thought.

it might just be the way the light plays on the crystal.

Reviewers who post pictures like that ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I thought it was maybe paid for content until I read "Arguably the face has one detail too many, in fact – I'd have been happier losing the Christopher Ward text logo at 9 o'clock".
The stock photos are great, but agree the reviewer could have captured a better one as shown above!

Re: Is this the "First" review of the C65 Diver?
Somehow this one escaped my attention when it was announced. As a fan of thin divers and thin vintage-esque bezels, this one has my attention. There is a lot to like, but I'm really unsure about the open 6. The finishing looks very good. As others have mentioned, it will be interesting to see if the dial is closer to the matte finish of the renderings, or semi-glossy.
I am confused by this stock photo though. Is there a 41mm black dial and a 29mm blue dial? Why not show both dials at the same size.

Pictures in many reviews show the hands in perfect positions and watch in great lighning. I think this picture exposes the void at 3 quite nicely. Time at 10:08 only happens twice a day for about a minute.downer wrote:Reviewers who post pictures like that ought to be ashamed of themselves.
There are a few questions though...
Isn't a serial number always unique?Unique engraved serial number
Apparently, the reviewer hasn't seen their current cases in person, unless he refers to the wooden box.And best of all… Luxurious presentation case.

Nope, only comes in 41mm. As to why they're depicting the black one larger in that pic, It's difficult to gauge the context and comment, without knowing where you got that pic from.Lavaine wrote: I am confused by this stock photo though. Re: Is this the "First" review of the C65 Diver?
I was not referring to the hand position. I was referring to the overall quality (or lack of) of the picture. And anyway, these reviews are part of the marketing effort of the company, and therefore, isn't it reasonable to expect the reviewer to show the watch in a decent light?nordwulf wrote:Pictures in many reviews show the hands in perfect positions and watch in great lighning. Having said that, there will a void on most watches when all the hands are positioned in the same 5% segment of the dial...
Some of these "reviewers" make me laugh...
