The Moser and Gary's Tissot were the watches that really turned me onto finding a red dial, 3 attempts later (all in and straight out), it has to be exactly the right red dial, like the Moser!

Re: A celebration of colour
Today is my wedding anniversary. Unfortunately my wife and I are in isolation because my wife is due surgery on Tuesday; missF you have given me food for thought. I’m thinking to help her through her recovery with a colourful watch. In the meantime, tea and cake will have to do.

Re: A celebration of colour
I appreciate the discussion of color as a celebratory thing and can appreciate the Oris watches in that context. However, they’re not for me. The sector watch is the perfect type of watch to scratch the “pop of color” itch for me. I don’t have the confidence needed to pull off wearing a brightly colored watch.

A celebration of colour
I like a bit of colour… I currently have yellow, orange, red, light/bright blue, green, teal, brown and have owned purple in the past. Of course, the staples of black, white, grey, silver, and dark blue are all there as well… but I am quite fond of a brightly coloured watch.

Re: A celebration of colour
I enjoy a bit of color and the idea of a red dial really appeals. But it has to be the right shade of red. The C7 Corsa Rosso (sp?) is not the right shade for me. I do have a Kurono Tokyo on order. Hard to wait for that one, it’s the Toki anniversary model with a coral colored dial. Because they are trickling out, mine isn’t to ship until January and others have already received theirs to flip on eBay. I have no wish to flip this one when it arrives.
Color is welcome in the watch world. I like differently colored cars as well.

Totally agree. I think we all have a kind of Pantone colour chart in our minds. One shade off in either direction and the colour is just wrong to our eyes.

Re: A celebration of colour
^^^ That is rather perceptive, Lindsey. I have often looked at fundamentally attractive dials and thought: blue, but not quite the right blue.

Thank you again Lindsey, good news surgery went well and my wife is home to recuperate. As for a colourful watch I’m thinking my MDS TRI-06 will cheer her up.

Re: A celebration of colour
My most recent purchase while I work out my preferences - the shiny green dial is nice and works surprisingly well with the orange, not too sure on the sky blue though.
