Rolex on Posh Pawnbrokers

Post by JAFO »

Yesterday, Wednesday they had a Rolex Daytona with aftermarket pink diamonds, for £6000. The owner had the diamonds added to bling it up.

Today they had a 1958 Rolex bracelet watch dripping with factory set jewels that only fetched £3200

I just can't see how these sort of prices correspond to the prices that are asked on say, chrono24.

I take it that “on” indicates some kind of television offering? Sometimes those things stretch the credulity even of the most gullible.

Yes. A UK TV programme showing high end pawnbrokers. There's also posh pawn (prestige pawnbrokers).

Not at all to be confused with Les on hardcore pawn on 8 mile road on Detroit.

With those prices it's safe to say it is either scripted, or it was filmed at least 10 years ago. Probably scripted, so that they can con people into selling them their Daytona for 3-4k.

Yes. Good thought. I just checked. It was series 3, in 2016. (MMXVI)
