Oh Stephen....I'm SO glad I can't be over there and wandering into a watch shop with you.
Guaranteed to be hazardous to my wealth!

Methinks you have found yourself something rather nice though :) Enjoy!

Tried on recently whilst at the AD looking at the Breitling Heritage 57 which I was intrigued by.... turns out the standard Heritage 42 in black with black ceramic insert on gold bezel looks fabulous on the wrist (well it does me)., really surprised me.
Couple of weeks later a really great deal came up on a lightly used one, albeit on rubber and not mesh.

Funnily enough tried this one for size yesterday, very nice watch and great size. This LE one was way over retail though so I wasn’t tempted enough.

Fabulous watch, really different in design (38-39 mm case and 42mm concave bezel) and slim. That's the watch (not the LE) that I originally went to try and was quite taken by the black/gold version. I just tried the black/gold heritage 42 to compare really but was really impressed and whilst less 'different' preferred it to the 57. The black/rainbow LE is super striking but the £ above RRP is too.

OK, its here... needs a good polish and clean but I knew it would before I acquired it. Also the rubber strap has been cut to size (as they do) and its too small so need a new one.. tempted by the Breitling mesh but £560 😳😲. So will see how I get on with it 1st, probably a rubber or leather in the interim.

Great watch, I had the 46 blue on mesh and wasn't disappointed. I wouldn't bother buying the official mesh bracelet, it was ok but not worth £500+

I agree. I have the blue bezel, white dial Superocean and I actually prefer a non metal strap on it. Its the only watch I feel that way on! Which is handy as the bracelets are expensive as you say, and Breitling themselves want the watch to fit!

Thanks everyone, I realise its quite blingy but like that in this watch. Can't decide on nice padded leather or Breitling rubber at the moment. Whats your thoughts?

PS its dust and reflections in the pictures, its immaculate with no scratches and swirls on case, bezel or crystal. Few on the deployant buckle but nothing that wont polish out.

Would a CW mesh bracelet be a workable option of you, Stephen?

Beautiful example. This watch has a loads of presence, and IMHO deserves a nice padded leather strap. That said, there is always the issue of warm weather, so I think my second choice might be the CW mesh. If this beauty were mine it would be getting a lot of wrist time so possibly the blue and bronze tide for the more casual look, if you could get the bronze to polish out.
Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

I have the blue Breitling rubber strap on mine. The Breitling wording on the strap looks a little o.t.t, but once on, you hardly see it as it fades towards the ends of the strap. The quality is absolute class.

Yours being more "dressier diver" than mine, will probably suit a steel strap very well though.

When I posted about mine, I asked for strap ideas. A couple here suggested Erikas Origionals strap. Having bought one, I can only confirm they suit absolutely perfectly. Yours possibly even moreso.

Personally leather straps and hot days dont like each other in my house!

Maybe Guy, I was thinking of popping it onto my Geckota prototype but its quite a robust/heavy gauge mesh so maybe a bit thick. Do you think the CW is slightly thinner than this:

PS please ignore the print on my arm, hot day and the bracelet had ridden up prior to pic, subsequently sized correctly :D
