Result!!!

Post by kiter65 »

Went for a meal with my sister last night and to meet her new ‘friend’.....he’s only a watch repairer . Played it cool didn’t want to talk shop with him on our first meeting but have been invited to his shop for a day to watch him carry out some work
All of a sudden I have a new favourite sister

All of a sudden I have a new favourite sister
... and a lot of new friends on here.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

Yay! Great result!
But what on earth else did you find to talk about?!

Excellent, could be a very useful man to know! Akin to finding out that your girlfriend's dad owns a pub

He is indeed. Just make sure your sister realises this.

Cheers folks...as I said don’t really talk shop, he’s not a watch enthusiast, wasn’t wearing a watch but what was interesting is out of my small collection of Rolex, Omega’s and Tudor’s the one he would pick is my Bremont

Wait, he’s a watch repairer, but not a watch enthusiast? Hard to imagine that’s a field one would get into without having an affinity for watches. It takes all kinds, I guess!

Perhaps his horological journey has taken him beyond the levels of us mere watchy mortals and he has transcended all need for material things. A kind of zen watch master!

I can only hope to get there someday. May the watch gods guide me!
