Re: Euros (Football)
Good morning.
I think if we get through the Denmark game, which I think we will, I will be quite confident we can beat the Italians.
I've not really seen this depth of quality in an England squad before, and I've already booked a spot at the pub for Sunday, so they have to do it.
Hopefully Italy v Spain will be a gruelling contest and England do the job in 90 mins.
Had a nice win last night, with my usual bet of Harry Maguire scoring a header.
Then another on Jordan Henderson scoring in 90 mins, I don't know how I thought of that, given he hadn't scored in 50+ games.
Delighted for him !
Regards Steve

I think Denmark will be very tough to break down, likely to be a close call!

Same here! I feel obliged to watch England as I’d support them at anything - slug racing if it was on! But, jeez, it’s like watching wood warp! Hopefully only 2 more games to try and stay awake through. Come on England!

Denmark will be tough, but both Spain and Italy look so pacey and dynamic I can't see England defeating either in a final

One more from me on the topic (for now).... i'm not normally a fan of Italian football, but this is the most entertaining Italian side I've seen

Re: Euros (Football)
What a game of football last night! Even goalless at half time, the footie was just masterful. I find myself falling in love with football again thanks to this tournament. As an Englishman I'd love to see England get through tonight but, Knowing Italy lie in wait, if England were to win the whole thing that really would be quite something. It's amazing just to soak in crowds and atmosphere again after the most sterile eighteen months in modern history.

Loved that game, Im glad the Italians had an Extra 30 mins put into their legs, they look a real tough proposition, for the Winners of tonight's game.
Oh and I bet on Morata missing his Penalty, so that also enhanced my enjoyment.
Bit nervous about tonight, but we should win though, because I still haven't put my George cross up.
I just hope it's entertaining and a fair result.

Re: Euros (Football)
That was an exciting match to watch for a neutral. By ‘neutral’ I mean that I was supporting England to win but it wouldn’t have devastated my world if they didn’t. And I had to switch off straight after because I couldn’t stand the over-egged commentary.

watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Re: Euros (Football)
Deserved win for England although never a penalty imo.
I think you will need to play better than tonight to beat the Italians, should be a great match.

Re: Euros (Football)
As you know, Patrick, I ain’t no Wendyball expert but there’s no way it was a penalty - he never touched him! If it was the other way round I’d have been brassed off to have a penalty given against for that. Having said that, England looked the far better side and deserved the win. Still a boring game though but, as I’ve said before, I’d support England at slug racing if it was on!Thegreyman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 11:08 pm Deserved win for England although never a penalty imo.
