That's how they are here, very vocal and not at all tame. No grey variety as in most of the UK.
It was a joke as I think Alpenvorland borders the black forest? Maybe it doesn't...
Some grey ones are friendly in parks here but proper wild ones in the woods are not, they are all pretty quiet though so that's an interesting difference

Apologies - didn't click as for sure "Alpenvorland" covers a just a little ground - though we are a long way from the Black Forest. But we do, for the moment at least, have a forest behind us so we get a variety of wild visitors.

I'd planned a surprise trip there for our 10th wedding anniversary in September (we got married there) but it's almost certain that I'm going to have to cancel it and reschedule
I'll post when we're going because you'll want to avoid the lakes at that time. The rain always wants to be there at the same time as us.
