Living and working in the Sydney basin - umm, our winters are not so different to a UK summer except for the length of the days.
So I have a watch tan line even in winter, sunny 22 deg C today in "winter". Sorry folks, especially my Scottish friends, but that's just how it is.
Next time it is 49 deg C (120F) and you are shivering, you can feel sorry for me.
Do you remove your watch, to avoid a Tan line ?

I have tan lines from my watch and my Teva sandals. Been wearing watches since 1977 and summer sandals since 1990.

Heck no!
On the thinking that "Life's a beach" what could be better for one's wellbeing than stooging around the beach wearing a favourite CW watch?

Some suncream might accidentally transfer itself to the strap. The odd grain of sand might get between the links of the bracelet.
Or…God forbid…it might get WET!
No, far too dangerous.

I live in south-west Ireland, the precipitation centre of the universe, what are these tan lines you speak of?
Does melancholy count as two of your five daily servings?

Shouldn’t be a problem if it’s a tool watch.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 12:45 pm I remove it when going on a nudist beach, otherwise just wear it
