The grass thread
Re: The grass thread
Mine is a nightmare. It's more moss with the grass growing through. When I walk on it I sink 3 inches into the moss

You’ve been walking around in my back yard?
Seriously, you could be describing my backyard.

Re: The grass thread
This is an utterly daft thread....but, as a "Lawn guy" utterly compelling. I will post a photo of mine when I have next mown it.

Re: The grass thread
I just cut mine earlier this evening. It’s not great, it’s got allsorts growing in it, but I keep it short to give me somewhere to plonk a sun lounger or deckchair.

Re: The grass thread
A lovely day for sitting out on the swing sun lounger and enjoying the sunshine and garden

Superb yard, when does the snow return?

Re: The grass thread
Not grass exactly but nice to see bees enjoying chive flowers. They seem to have made a comeback since a couple of years back thank goodness.

Bees have built a hive in a tree trunk that I felled in my garden. I deliberately left it to attract insects and I’m delighted to say that 15 years on it’s worked. It’s been fascinating watching them fly in and out of their hive.

Re: The grass thread
A full swarm is a wonder to look at - we had one 3 or 4 years ago, and had a local beekeeper collect them. Funnily enough, bees have taken refuge in a large ash in my garden. My neighbour told me they may have found another queen because some of them may be on the move.

Re: The grass thread
I’ve not thought about contacting a bee keeper, I will follow up on that. Not to get rid but to look for the best outcome for the hive.0uatiOW wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 8:43 pmA full swarm is a wonder to look at - we had one a couple of years ago, and had a local beekeeper collect them.
