It is hot for May but if you go sockless now what can you do when summer hits and it's even worse better?
Fixed that for you. And the answer is that when summer hits I will be even happier and will continue to go sockless. I just love hot weather. I am a complete Sunny Bunny! 8)

Normally when it’s warm I would be in shorts and deck shoes but I had a meeting today that required socks, shoes and trousers. Hopefully tomorrow and the rest of the week it will be shorts and decks.

This week will be my last week with students in the building. I’m tempted to wear shorts and flip flops all week. I don’t think anyone will say anything, and I’m not sure I’d care if they did!

Today’s pairing for a 120 mile ramble with the top down in this gorgeous Memorial Day weather. The socks are no-see-ums because o can’t stand wearing shoes with no socks at all.

Well so much for a shorts and deck shoe day - major meeting this morning to plan the route for the year ahead! 🤯 Again pair of Loake shoes - Warminster Austerity brogues - and Burlington Preston socks.

^^^I like that one, Nigel!

This one is a particular favourite of mine. Most of my summer shirts are Mantaray. I used to get them from Debenhams. This was from the same store, but it is Maine New England, another reasonably priced and fairly decent brand. I just saw this and fell for it.

Nowhere near as 'out there' compared to some of the shirts featured, but a favourite of mine ...

Slightly off topic, as there isn’t a shirt or sock in sight, but I decided to break out the posh flip-flops I found reduced in John Lewis the other week. A couple of hours on the sun lounger with the Kindle seemed the order of the day when I got back from the gym. :D
