I was watching this video yesterday; I keep it among my YouTube saved videos, in among all the watch stuff. I'd forgotten how great it is, and I think it's a fantastic resource, particularly to those that are new to mechanical watches. I guess this was made in the late 50s or early 60s and, as well as the soft focus/low definition filming, it evokes the most lovely charm of its era. Of course the content is as a relevant and accurate today as it was then (albeit the 18,000vph beat rate), mechanical watches have remained essentially the same. I find that this video makes you gaze down at that timepiece on your wrist and see it through new eyes. What truly amazing things mechanical watches are.
