Maillechort, or German silver - a mythical metal that Adolph Lange and his sons stole from the Rhine maidens. It is used by the watchmaking gnomes of Glashütte to fashion movements of exquisite beauty and exorbitant price.

So in fact, it was never Das Rheingold that was used, more Das Rheinsilber? Was some in fact stolen by Kurt Weil's cousin Raymond to build his Parsifal?
